Doris (Paradise) Ouellette, 86, beloved wife of Albert A. Ouellette for 63 years entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday Sept. 13, 2005 at Evergreen Healthcare Stafford Springs. She was born on Aug. 14, 1919 in Thompsonville, CT daughter of the late Clifford and Odivine (Catellie) Paradise and resided in Enfield most of her life. Doris was a graduate of Becker College.
Prior to her retirement, Doris was employed for many years with CIGNA Insurance Co. and with Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co. before that. In her leisure time she loved to read, do crossword puzzles and line dancing. Her greatest pastime was spent with her beloved family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Family Church.
Besides her husband, Albert, Doris is survived by her loving children, a son Albert Ouellette and his wife, Marylou of Niantic, a daughter, Susan Crank and her husband, Thomas of Enfield, a son, Thomas Ouellette and his wife, Marion of Enfield, six beloved grandchildren, Jessica & Rebecca Crank, Kara Willette, Michele Bigda, Tami Kellam and Michael Ouellette, seven beloved great grandchildren, Alexander & Abagail Willette, Nicole, Andrew & Anthony Bigda, Shaun & Daniel Kellam. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by two sisters, Elsie Baker and Lillian Schaub and a brother, Eugene Paradise.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Doris on Saturday Sept. 17, 2005 at 11:00am in Holy Family Church, Enfield. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery Enfield. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday morning prior to the Mass from 9 to 10:30am at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Holy Family Church 23 Simon Rd. Enfield, CT 06082.
