Dorothy Weeks

Dorothy “Dottie” E. (Erickson) Weeks, 74, of Enfield entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday (Dec. 30, 2014) in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to Morris Weeks. Dorothy was born on June 22, 1940 in Newington, CT, daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Bergenholtz) Erickson and had resided in Enfield for the past 36 years, also in East Hartford before that. She graduated from Conard High School, West Hartford. She was formerly employed by Berenson’s Hartford Jai Alai for over 20 years. Dorothy especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy was an avid bowler and fan of the UCONN Women’s Basketball Team. Besides her husband Morris, she is survived by her loving children; Danis-ann Bracket, Greg & Hope Moxley and Gary & Gina Weeks all of Enfield, her beloved grandchildren; Doren-Lynn Miner, Corey Bracket, Kyle Bracket, Brandon Moxley, Taylor Moxley, Cameron Weeks and Cassidy Weeks, her beloved dog “Gabriel”, along with her sister Danis A. Malucci of Bloomfield and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Robert “Robbie” A. Moxley, Jr. and a daughter Karen-Lynn Weeks. Friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Friday (Jan. 2, 2015) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Jan. 3, 2015) with the procession forming at 10:15 a.m. and the Service starting at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield.
