Douglas L. Angers, of Enfield passed from his earthly journey into eternal life at the age of 52 on Wednesday (3/10/10) in Enfield. Doug was the beloved husband of Mica (Halamicek) Angers and son of Leonard and Phyllis (Marion) Angers of Florida and formerly of Holyoke, MA. He was born on April 4, 1957 in Holyoke, MA and had resided in Enfield for the past 26 years, prior to that he resided in Colorado and Wyoming. Doug was a graduate of Holyoke High School Class of 1975 and then continued his education at Larimer Vocational Tech. in CO and Wyoming Technical Institute. As a master mechanic and diesel technician Doug was employed with the Town of Enfield for 23 years and became supervisor in the Fleet Maintenance Dept. He also worked part-time for Signature Flight Support at Bradley Int. Airport in Windsor Locks. Doug was very active with the Enfield Hockey Association having a great passion for hockey he also played and coached the sport he also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, skiing and most of all spending time with his family. Besides his wife Mica of 28 years and his parents, Doug is survived by his children: Jason Pfeifer of Enfield, Isaac Angers & wife Hana of Japan, Benjamin Pfeifer & fiancée Maureen Morse of S. Windsor, Beverly Angers and Annastasia Angers both of Enfield, his three beloved grandchildren Dylan Frangiamore, Suzu Angers and Sola Angers. He is also survived by a sister Beverly Larson & husband Bob of CA, a brother David Angers & wife Cindy also of CA, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Tuesday (3/16/10) from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by A Memorial Service at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Interment will be at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Red Cross CT Chapter 209 Farmington Ave. Farmington, CT 06032 or the American Heart Assoc. 1 Union St. Ste. 301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
