Edward J. Ferguson, 87 of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday March 11, 2008. Eddie was the beloved husband of 60 years to Jennie (Krawiec) Ferguson. He was born on March 7, 1921 in West Hartford, CT a son of the late John and Mary Ferguson and had resided in Enfield most of his life. Ed served his country honorably with the US Army during WW II. After being discharged from the service Ed was employed by Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co., Thompsonville for 23 years, then with Kaman Aerospace, Windsor for 8 years and retired in 1985 from Hamilton/Sundstrand, Windsor Locks after 12 years service. He was a member of the John Maciolek Post #154 American Legion, Enfield and member of Holy Cross Church, Enfield. Besides his wife, Jennie Ed is survived by a son, Wayne E. Ferguson and his wife, June and a daughter, Beverly Foote and her husband, Clifford all of Enfield, his four beloved grandchildren, Michael, Jason, Brenda and Timothy. He is also survived by a brother, John Morris and his wife, Katherine of W. Springfield, MA along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Gerald Morris and Richard Morris. Ed family would like to especially like to thank the nursing staff at Redstone Rehabilitation Center and Baystate Hospice.
Funeral services in celebration of Edward's life will be held on Friday March 14, 2008 at 10:00am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, relatives and friends may gather at 9:15am. Burial will follow with military honors by the John Maciolek Post in Holy Cross Cemetery, Enfield. Ed's family will receive relatives and friends during calling hours on Thursday March 13 from 5 to 7pm. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Enfield Community Ambulance Fund P.O.
