Edward P. Simano, 83 of Enfield entered into peace on Saturday August 5.2006 at Hartford Hospital Hartford. Edward was born on May 5, 1923 in Boston MA. The son of the late John and Johanna Simano and resided in Enfield for fifty five years. Ed was a US Marine Corp Veteran having served during WWII. He was formerly employed by the State of Connecticut Dept. of Corrections as a Correctional Officer for twenty one years in Somers and Enfield and retired in 1985.He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty six years Jean (Seaman) Simano. Ed also leaves his beloved family two sons; Daniel and his wife, Michelle Raboin of Tolland and Mark Simano in New Mexico, also four daughters; Becky and her husband, John Cote of Enfield, Celeste and her husband, Pete Oberg of Vernon, Norma Vaillancourt in California, and Lynn Simano in Rhode Island. He also leaves five grandchildren; Chris Cote, Danielle Cote, Amy Desso, Ashlee Desso, and Chelsea Martin, and five great grandchildren; Talia and Anthony Pizzimenti, Tierni and Aria Cote, and Isabella Desso. Ed?s family will receive relatives and friends at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield on Tuesday from 11:30AM to 1:00PM a prayer service will be at 1:00PM followed by Burial with military honors in Hazardville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society 538 Preston Ave. P.O. Box 1004 Meriden, CT. 06450-1004.
