Edwin W. Doty 69 of Enfield entered into eternal peace on Sunday February 11, 2007.Edwin was born in New Britain August 15, 1937 the son of the late Edwin and Alice (Mason) Doty.
He had resided in Granby and East Granby and was an Enfield resident for thirty years. He was a graduate of Simsbury High School. Ed was a member of St. Adalbert Church and a member of the John Maciolek Post 154 American Legion Enfield. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force; of which he was very proud. He was employed by Ahlstrom (C H Dexter) Corporation for thirty seven years and retired in 2001. In his spare time Ed enjoyed woodworking, fishing, golfing and loved the outdoors. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of twenty eight years Victoria (Vicki) Skower Doty, and his loving son Peter Edwin Doty of Enfield. Ed also leaves three sisters, Beverly Rand of Lyme, Lorraine Krech of Meriden, and Jean Buceivicius of E. Hartford, and two brothers Leslie Doty of Bolton and James Doty in Fl. From a previous marriage Ed leaves his children Amanda, Christopher, and Glen. He was predeceased by a son Edwin James Doty and two brothers Ted, and Ronald Doty
Funeral services in celebration of Ed's life will be held on Thursday at 9:00AM from BROWNE MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPELS 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Adalbert Church 90 Alden Ave. Enfield. Military Honors provided by the John Maciolek Post 154 American Legion will follow the Mass. Burial will be at the convince of the family
