Eileen F. Gordon

Eileen (Pomerleau) Gordon, 58, of Enfield, departed this life on September 10, 2015, at home with her family. She and her husband Bruce had been married for 28 years. Eileen was born on January 24, 1957 in Hartford, CT to the late Reny & Doris Pomerleau. She graduated from Penney High School in East Hartford and Southern CT State University. Eileen spent most of her married life as a homemaker and mother, and she & Bruce home schooled their sons from grades K-12. She was a gifted artist, focusing her work on making the Bible come alive with original illustrations. Eileen devoted her life to loving people and encouraging them to draw closer to God. She is survived by her husband Bruce and their sons Stephen Gordon, of Newton, Iowa, and Jonathan Gordon of Enfield. She also leaves behind her brothers Richard, Michael and John Pomerleau, her sisters Jane Scopino, Patricia Coile and Laura Lee Peppler, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 10:00 AM at Church of the Living God, 199 Deming Street, Manchester, CT and Sunday, Sept. 20 at 1:00 PM at Lighthouse Christian Church, 522 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills (Agawam), MA. Memorial donations may be sent to Children’s Shelter of Cebu at https://www.cscshelter.org/give.
