Eileen Green

Eileen M. (Tims) Green, age 65, beloved wife of Jules Green of Broad Brook, entered into eternal life peacefully at Hospital For Special Care in Hartford on Thursday July 19, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. Eileen was the daughter of Mary Tims of New York and the late John Tims. She attended local schools in Brooklyn and was a graduate of Bay Ridge High School, class of 1960. Eileen worked as an administrative assistant in N.Y. prior to moving to CT. She had resided in CT. the last 30 years. Eileen was active with Hospice in the Vernon area working in fundraising and numerous other programs. She was an active member of her community including scouting, fundraising and helping at the Senior Center. She was a member of St. Catherine Church in Broad Brook, CT. In addition to her husband, Jules, Eileen is survived by her children, Kelly (Green) and David Zachas, Richard and Shelly (Boucher) Green, Michael and Joan (Green) Normand and John and Jennifer (Moyer) Green, her 6 beautiful grandchildren Emily, Michaela, David, Maureen, Joseph and Chelsea Jules. Her family was her world. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched and blessed, including her very special friends. Eileen is also survived by a brother, John Tims and his wife, Elizabeth. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Phyllis Cohen and a brother-in-law, Michael Green. She was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Tims.
Eileen's family will receive relatives and friends during calling hours at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield on Sunday July 22, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 23 at 9:00am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00a.m. in St. Catherine's Church, Broad Brook. Interment will take place in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Broad Brook.
