ENFIELD - Elisabeth Liesel Kiehlmeier McCann, 93, formerly of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Monday, October 15, 2019. Liesel was born in Germany, January 14,1926, the daughter of the late Ludwig and Katharina Lutz Engel. She grew up in Germany and came to the United States shortly after WW II. She was predeceased by her first husband, Herman in 1988 and her second husband, Edward McCann in 2005. Liesel was formerly employed by the former Mountain Laurel Restaurant in Enfield. She was a devout Catholic and a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Thompsonville. Liesel and her husband, Herman, were active members of the Washington Irving Council 50 of of the Knights of Columbus in Enfield for many years. At her request, there are no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 18, 2019 with a Mass of Christian burial at 11am at St. Patrick’s Church of St. Raymond of Peñafort Parish, 64 Pearl Street in the Thompsonville section of Enfield. The burial will follow in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St.Raymond of Penafort Parish 64 Pearl Street, Enfield, CT 06082. Browne Memorial Chapels has been entrusted with the arrangements.
