Elizabeth (Grant) Chandler, 59, wife of Stanley C. Chandler, Jr. died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Saint Francis Hospital of complications due to cancer. She was born on February 14, 1957, the daughter of Philip and Selma (Larson) Grant. In addition to her husband and parents, Elizabeth is survived by her two daughters, Christa Grant and her husband Matthew Lorthioir of Moscow, Russia, and Shiloh (Grant) Mahmood and her husband Christopher of Norwich, CT. She had five granddaughters, Sarai, Noelle and Elia Mahmood and Brynja and Camille Lorthioir. Elizabeth also leaves her sister Lois Grant Audinot and husband Vicente and brothers George M. Grant and wife Leslie and Donald Grant and wife Ruth along with several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was a lifelong resident of the Melrose section of East Windsor. She was a 1975 graduate of East Windsor High School and earned a B.A. with honors from Central Bible College in 1978. She co-owned and operated Fast Pak LLC with Gay Rathbun from 1985-2014. She often spent her free time outdoors, maintaining her extensive garden and fruit trees. She will be remembered by family and friends for her generosity, wisdom, industriousness, and zest for learning. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, at 11:00 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels in Enfield, CT. Elizabeth's family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service, starting at 10:00 AM. There will be a reception following the service at 17 Wapping Rd., Broad Brook, CT.
