Emilia “Millie” D. (Dynia) Furey Pitney, 92, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Wednesday (3/17/10) at Parkway Pavilion in Enfield. She was born on March 23, 1917 in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Barsza) Dynia and resided in Enfield most of her life. Emilia was predeceased by her husbands, William Furey, Ed Pitney and Maurice Meunier. Before retiring many years ago Emilia was employed for over 25 years with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford. Emilia had a passion for music and loved to sing her beautiful voice could be heard singing with St. Patrick’s Choir or through out the neighborhood as she sung in her home, she loved polish music and dancing especially to a good polka, but mostly she loved spending time with her family entertaining during the holidays and special occasions. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Enfield. Emilia is survived by her two loving sons, Patrick Furey of Enfield and William Furey of Coventry, her two beloved grandsons, Casey and Liam, She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Stella Dynia of Enfield & Florida and a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Stanley Kokofski of Enfield along with many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Sunday (3/21/10) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Monday (3/22/10) with the funeral procession forming at 9:00 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels to St. Patrick’s Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
