Emilie Bajek

Emilie (Wasowicz) Bajek, 99, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life on Wednesday Nov. 23, 2016. She was the wife of the late Gilbert “Gil” Bajek. She was born on June 30, 1917, in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Krzys) Wasowicz and was a lifelong resident of Enfield, a graduate of the local schools. Mrs. Bajek worked at the former Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co. as a weaver, and was a hostess for 22 years at the former Mt. Laurel Restaurant. Emilie was past president, secretary and treasurer of the Polish Jr. League Enfield-Suffield Chapter of CT, and past member of the Democratic Club of Enfield and communicant of St. Adalbert Church. She is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie (Bajek) & Richard Morency of Enfield, her loving granddaughter, Darcy LaNaé Morency, her sister, Stacia Morin of Suffield, along with several nieces and nephews and God children, Angenette Herklotz, Dorothy Regan and Nanette Griffin. The family would especially like to thank the staff at Blair Manor for the kind, compassionate and wonderful care given to Emilie Calling hours for Emilie will be held on Monday Nov. 28, 2016 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Service at 11:00 with Fr. John Weaver officiating at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. Burial will be private in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donation may be made to St. Adalbert Church 90 Alden Ave. Enfield, CT 06082, Enfield EMS (Ambulance Service) 1296 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082 or M.S.P.C.A 350 S. Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130.
