Ernest “Ernie” E. Lescault, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest, at the age of 82, on Tuesday August 6, 2013. Ernie was the beloved husband of 52 years to Nancy (Donnell) Lescault. He was born on February 24, 1931 in Fall River, MA son of the late Henri and Eva (Gagnon) Lescault and had resided in Enfield for the past 52 years. Ernie served his country honorably with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Ernie retired from Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford after over 37 years of service. He then worked for the Somers & Somerville Post Offices for several years. Ernie was a member St. Martha Church, a life member of the Washington Irving, Knights of Columbus Council 50, Enfield and the Tanguay Magill Post 80, American Legion. He was an avid NASCAR and die-hard Dale Earnhardt fan. Besides his wife Nancy, he is survived by his children: Scott Lescault of Enfield, Eric Lescault & his wife Jessica of Somers, Michele Liquori & companion Michael Moschetti also of Somers and son-in-law Ken Hutchinson of ME, his cherished grandchildren: Jeffrey Hutchinson & his wife Elizabeth, Sarah Hutchinson, Daniel Liquori, Jr. and Justin Liquori and three beautiful great-granddaughters who will miss “Grandpa Bananas”, he is also survived by his siblings: Irene Kot, Anita Viverios, Bertha Fitzler and Muriel Baptista all of Fall River, MA along with many nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law Jeanne Donnell of SC. Ernie was predeceased by a daughter Denise Lescault Hutchinson and two brothers: Armand and Raymond Lescault. Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Sunday (Aug. 25, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. A Graveside Service with military honors will take place on Monday Aug. 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 50 Enfield, P. O. Box 193 Enfield, CT 06083-0193.
