Euclid LaPierre

Euclid J. LaPierre, 81, of Enfield, entered into his eternal rest Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Hartford, CT. He was predeceased by his wife Hester D. LaPierre April 24, 1999. Born on September 24, 1927, in VanBuren, ME, he was the son of the late Neil and Flavie (Soucy) LaPierre, he was a member of the Enfield community for over 50 years. Prior to his retirement, Euclid owned and operated the Wine Cellar Package Store in Enfield. A member of the American Legion, Euclid, served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 50, 3rd degree, of Enfield, the Rev. William Kilcoyn Assembly of 4th degree and also served on its Color Guard. He was a member of St. Patrick Church for many years. Euclid is survived by his children, Michael LaPierre and his wife Jeanette of Central Village, CT, Lester LaPierre and his wife Nancy of Lake in the Hills, IL, Marlene Fulton and her husband Bruce of Ancorage, AK and Phyllis LaPierre of Enfield, 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He also leaves his dear friend Elaine Shaughnessy. A funeral procession will form at 9 am Sat. December 13, 2008 from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield to St. Patrick's Church for a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will take place in St. Patrick King St. Cemetery. Euclid's family will receive relatives and friends Friday December 12, from 4 to 8 pm at Browne Funeral Chapels. Memorial Donations in Euclid's memory may be made to the Enfield Senior Center Recreation Fund, 299 Elm St. Enfield, CT 06082.
