Frances Buika

Frances "Nunnie" K. (Klebosky) Buika, 79, of Enfield entered into eternal life on Thursday (July 9, 2009) at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, MA. Frances was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Walter J. Buika (Aug. 29, 2007). She was born on March 11, 1930 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield and was a lifelong resident, daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Bojarski) Klebosky. Prior to retiring Frances was employed by Hamilton Standard/Sundstrand for many years. In her leisure time she enjoyed watching Jeopardy, puzzles and dining out at the Student Prince Restaurant in Springfield. She was a member of St. Adalbert's Church, Enfield. Frances is survived by her two loving daughters, Lauren Buika of Windsor Locks and Sharon Buika of Enfield, her beloved grandson, Andrew and his wife, Rachel. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Tokarczyk of Enfield and Nellie Kozaczka of Springfield, MA along with many nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by two sisters, Stella Purdy and Genevieve Wood and two brothers, John and Frank Klebosky. Her family would like to especially thank Dr. Darren O'Neill and the staff of Mercy Medical Center for the caring, compassionate and special attention given to Frances. Funeral services in celebration of Frances's life will be held on Sunday (July 12, 2009) at 4:00 p.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Her family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Burial will be private in St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Lung Association of CT 45 Ash St. E. Hartford, CT 06108-3272.
