Francis "Frank" Marocchini

Francis “Frank” J. Marocchini, 81, of Enfield, entered peacefully into eternal life with his loving family at his side on Tuesday (August 28, 2012) in the comfort of his home. Frank was the beloved husband of Patricia (Quirk) Marocchini for 53 years and son of the late Andrew and Maria (Cardone) Marocchini. He was born on April 10, 1931 in Windsor, CT and was a lifelong resident of Enfield. Frank served his country honorably with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Prior to retiring in 1990 he was employed with AT&T for 33 years. Frank was a longtime parishioner of St. Bernard Church, Enfield and a member of the Holy Name Society. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family especially the grandchildren. Besides his loving wife Pat, Frank is survived by his five beloved children; Fran Marocchini & his wife Ann of Somers, Col.Thomas Marocchini &wife Robin of Niceville, FL, Andrew Marocchini of Enfield, Anne Sittauer & husband Kevin of Amherst, MA and Mary Given & husband Paul of Enfield, his 12 beloved grandchildren; Alex, Nicholas, Spencer, Kyle, Christine, Conor, Patricia, Annamarie, Anthony, Stephanie, Kevin and Danny. He is also survived by his sister Mary Wentworth of Enfield, two brothers Philip Marocchini of Enfield and Louie Marocchini of Ryegate Center, VT along with many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Frank was predeceased by a sister Anna Cote. Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Thursday (August 30, 2012) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Friday (Aug. 31) with the procession forming at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home to St. Bernard’s Church, Enfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. followed by military honors. Interment will be at the convenience of his family in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care 628 Hebron Ave. Suite 300, Glastonbury, CT 06033 or St. Bernard Church 426 Hazard Ave. Enfield, CT 06082.
