Gabriella F. Cardone, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Kettle Brook Care Center in East Windsor, CT. Gabe lived her life with dignity despite many personal challenges, and always strived to be a loving sister, aunt and friend. A lifelong resident of Enfield, CT, she was the daughter of the late Filippo and Maria Grazia (Panella) Cardone. She was a graduate of Enfield High School and was employed for several years by the State of Connecticut. Gabe was predeceased by her devoted brother, Ciriaco (Jerry) Cardone. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Philip Cardone, Linda Cardone, Mary Garbec, Marilyn Cardone and Stephen Cardone and their families, as well as many loving cousins and friends. Her family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the dedicated staff of the Kettle Brook Care Center for the care they provided Gabe during her time there. Calling hours will be Saturday (March 31, 2012) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels at 43 Shaker Road in Enfield. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Gabe’s family asks that contributions be made in her memory to the charitable organization of your choice.
