George Bellico

George J. Bellico, 99, of Enfield, entered into eternal life, on Monday May 11, 2015 at Evergreen Health Care, Stafford Springs. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Marion (Purdy) Bellico. George was born on November 7, 1915 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, the son of the late Congetto and Concetta (Gelsomino) Bellico. He was a lifelong resident of Enfield. George was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Church and served as an Usher for over 50 years. Prior to retiring he was employed with The Traveler’s Insurance Co. for 23 years and before that with Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co. He played and coached baseball for the Grey’s Athletic Club and was also a coach and manager for the Thompsonville Little League Lions Club Team. George is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings; Russell, Joseph, twin brothers Philip & Peter Bellico, Rose Sullivan and Mary Locario. Relatives and friends may gather during calling hours on Friday May 15, 2015 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm in St. Patrick Church. Interment will take place in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to St. Patrick Church 64 Pearl St. Enfield, CT 06082.
