George Francolini

George Francolini, 78, of Enfield entered into Eternal Life on Monday Aug. 29, 2005 at his home surrounded by loved ones. George was the beloved husband of 56 years to Rosemary (Milikowski) Francolini. He was born on May 21, 1927 in Hartford, CT the son of the late Theodore and Agatha Francolini and had resided in Enfield for the past 48 years. George was a graduate of Hartford Public High School Class of 1946 where he played football and basketball prior to serving his country honorably with the US Coast Guard during WW II. George continued his athletic endeavors by playing softball in the Industrial League of Hartford and the Fast-Pitch Softball League in Enfield. Prior to his retirement George was employed by Thompson Associates for 20 years, after a 27 year career with Fuller Brush. An avid sports enthusiast, George took great pride and pleasure in watching his grandchildren participate in various sports and was a NY Yankee's fan. George was a parishioner of Holy Family Church in Enfield, in which he participated in the Men's Club, Golf League and Carnival Committee.<br>Besides his wife, Rosemary he is survived by his loving family, a daughter, Debbie Renals of Ellington, a son, Rick Francolini and wife, Marjorie of Ellington, a son, Mike Francolini and wife, Terry of Somers, his nine beloved grandchildren, John Renals, Kimberly Sullivan, Heather Delap, Amy Renals, David Francolini, Jamie Francolini, Brian Francolini, Rosemary Francolini and Erika Francolini, two great grandchildren, Sloan Sullivan and Sofia Renals. He is also survived by a brother, Andy Francolini of Rocky Hill and two sisters, Agnes Bolasevich of Wethersfield and Lucy Tabellione of Newington, his mother in law, Ann David & husband, John of Hartford, a brother in law, Edward Milikowski of Enfield, a brother in law, Jackie Milikowski & wife, Lena of Wethersfield, a sister in law, Ann Tardif & husband, Leo of Enfield also many nieces, nephews and his very good friend Pat Uricchio of Enfield. He was predeceased by a sister in law, Ann Milikowski. <br>There are no Calling Hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wed. Aug. 31, at 11:00am in Holy Family Church 23 Simon Rd. Enfield. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery, Enfield. The family has requested memorial donations in his memory be made to the Home & Community Hospice Education Fund 140 Hazard Ave. P.O. Box 1199 Enfield, CT 06083-1199. Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield is assisting the Francolini Family with arrangements.<br>
