Geraldine "Jerrie" Macsata

Geraldine “Jerrie” M. Macsata, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Monday (July 7, 2014) surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home on the same street where she was born on July 15, 1924. She was the beloved wife of 52 years to the late Frederick J. Macsata, Sr. (12/2001) and was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Lillian M. (Hoffman) Martin. A devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was happiest with a house full of people with plenty of noise and laughter. She always had more than enough food for anyone who walked through the door. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Patrick’s Parish and faithful member of the St. Patrick’s prayer group. Jerrie was also a moderator at the polls in Enfield, a union representative at Bigelow Sanford Carpet Company, and marched as chaperone with the Centurions Drum and Bugle Corps. She cherished the time spent with her family. Jerrie is survived by her brother Lawrence Martin, and wife Elizabeth, her children: Kathryn Lechausse, Frederick Jr. , and wife Lori, Francis and wife Lynn, Charles and wife Jaime, Mary Lynne Laflamme and husband Robert, Annette Martin and husband Michael, Joyce Cunha and husband Chris, Gerald and wife Laura, all of Enfield. She was also graced with 17 grandchildren, Jennifer, James, Nicholas, Shawn, Anthony, Kristi, Amanda, Megan, Stephanie, Daveen, Michael, Joseph, Andrew, Michelle, Adam, Marci, and Kelly; 11 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins , along with others she thought of as family. She was predeceased by her brother Francis Martin. The family would like to give a special thank you to her caretaker Kerri Dalton. The family will receive relatives and friends during calling hours on Wednesday (July 9, 2014) from 3:00 to 7:00pm at Browne Memorial Funeral chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (July 10, 2014) with the funeral procession forming at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home to St. Patrick Church 64 Pearl St. Enfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Church 64 Pearl St. Enfield.
