Gloria Howard

Gloria E. (Pepe) Howard, 80, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Saturday (Nov. 8, 2014) at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Manchester, CT. She was the beloved wife to the late Harold J. Howard (1986). Gloria was born on January 24, 1934 in Springfield, MA, a daughter of the late Antonio and Julia (Lomma) Pepe and had resided in Enfield for the past 54 years. A loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother her main focus in life was caring for her family and home. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Enfield and the Enfield Senior Citizen’s Center. In her leisure time she enjoyed baking, crocheting and crafts. Gloria is survived by her two loving daughters and sons-in-law; Teresa & Skip Clark of Enfield and Tammy & Jimmy Zguro of Enfield, her beloved and cherished grandchildren; Jason Clark & wife Kim, Justin Clark & wife Alli and Heather Ferreira & husband Raul, great-grandchildren; Jessica Clark, Logan Ferreira and baby Clark expected to arrive in March. She is also survived by a sister Millie Landry and a brother Tony Pepe & wife Carol both of West Springfield, MA, along with many nieces and nephews. She also leaves many friends especially Helen Basal and her grand dogs Sherman, Fritz, Nacho & Churro. Gloria was also predeceased by seven siblings. Relatives and friends may gather with family on Tuesday (Nov. 11, 2014) from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, the funeral procession will then proceed to Holy Family Church 23 Simon Rd. Enfield for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery in Enfield.
