Graham Charles Jones, 74, of Enfield, the beloved husband of Barbara Keating, died April 4, 2009 in Hernando, Florida.
Born January 29, 1935 in Bristol England, he was the son of the late Charles and Rose Jones. He was predeceased by his sister Irene Libby. Graham served in the United States Air Force and later graduated from the Ward School of Electronic now part of the University of Hartford. He was a Mason for 38 years and was proud to be a member of the Masonic Federal Lodge #17 AF & AM, Watertown, CT. Graham loved working with computers and over his career he worked for several companies. In 2003 he retired from the State of Connecticut. He enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV and camping with family and friends. He loved to take his Belgian Tervuren for walks in the campground to meet people. In recent years, he developed a passion for baseball and watched all of the Red Sox games with his wife. He enjoyed visiting different major and minor league ballparks including spring training. He loved giving, receiving and creating all kinds of gadgets and he had a quirky sense of humor. He will be missed by all.
He leaves his wife, Barbara and his children Curtis Jones of Waterbury, Donna Ainsworth of Hampden, MA, Charles Jones of Torrington, Carol Lafountain of Enfield, Clifford Jones and his wife Laurene of Waterbury and Caryl Ann Merola of Torrington. He also leaves 13 grandchildren Daniel, Brett, Jennifer, Roger, Rebecca, Seth, Jonathan, Holly, Lotus, Gabriel, Cody, Frederick and Merrial and 3 great grandchildren Trent, Katrina and Leah.
Friends and relatives may gather at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Road Enfield, CT on Saturday June 6 from 9 – 11 am. A Masonic Service will take place at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
