H. Patricia Barry

H. Patricia (Parker) Barry, 86, of Enfield, beloved wife of J. Paul Barry, passed away on March 27, 2015. Born in Providence RI, she was the daughter of the late George Irving Parker and Alice Barnett Parker. During her childhood, she lived and attended school in RI, Peru and CA. After graduation, she worked for the State of RI, Treasurer’s office. She moved to CT in the 1950’s and resided in Enfield where she raised her family. She worked for several local businesses, retiring from Easco Hand Tools in East Windsor, CT. Pat possessed a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She was a formidable card player, a trait acquired from her mother, and a terrific dancer and avid skier. She and her husband spent many years during their retirement traveling throughout the United States exploring historic sites, visiting family members and friends and making new friends along the way. Pat is also survived by her four children and their families: daughter Cathy (Kinnane) Vacchelli and her husband Hon. Robert Vacchelli of CT; daughter Lynda Kinnane and her husband Dr. Thomas Kaluzynski of NC; daughter Patricia (Kinnane) Robinson and Steven Robinson of MA; son Christopher Kinnane and his wife Constance Wannamaker of TX; and six grandchildren: Brandon Vacchelli; Andrew and Clare Kaluzynski; Carly and Lauren Robinson and Benjamin Kinnane. She is also survived by her brother Kenneth Parker and his wife Phyllis of RI; a sister Linda Parker of WA; sister-in-laws Margaret Scagliarini, Marion Caproni and her husband Joseph and brother-in-law James Barry, all of MA; and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, William Parker. Special thanks to Pat’s extended family, dear friends, members of the Thompsonville Moose Lodge and the entire staff at the Felician Adult Day Center for their compassion and support during her illness. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 4th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT. A funeral service will follow immediately at the funeral chapel. All relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Felician Adult Day Center, 1333 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
