Harriet (Dias) Boyle, of Enfield, passed into eternal life, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday November 24, 2015. She was born and raised in Ludlow, MA, daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Odlaid) Dias. She had resided in Enfield for most of her life. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother Harriet was very dedicated to caring for the needs of her family, she was a very independent and strong willed women.
A famous quote to her children was “be a good doobie”. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, music, a good Polka and loved to eat.
Harriet is survived by her two loving daughters; Patricia Alvarez & husband Sergio of Plainfield, Ill and Kathleen Arnold & husband Mark of Enfield, her beloved grandchildren David, & wife Shannon, Shannon “Shannet” Michelle, Eric, Kayla, Jordan, Justin K., and Justin A., her cherished & adored great grandchildren; David, Jr., Nicholas, Joshua & Abella, along with many nieces and nephews. Harriet was predeceased by her daughters, Helen Boyle & Michelle Bowler, a grandson Paul Bowler, her former husband Walter Boyle and a brother Saul Dias. Her family would especially like to give a heartfelt thank you to the Masonicare Hospice nurses for the kind, compassionate and wonderful care and concerns and also to Vincy Basile for the weekly visit to pray with and give Harriet Communion.
Per Harriet’s request there are no calling hours. Family and friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Monday November 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m in St. Patrick Church, Enfield. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
