Obituary for Helen W. Dubiel

Helen W. (Walizki) Dubiel, 93, of Fairfield, CT and formerly of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Friday Dec. 11, 2015 at The Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield, CT. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis K. Dubiel. Helen was born on Novemeber 14, 1922 in Suffield, CT, the daughter of the late Charles and Anelia (Lach) Walizki. She had resided in Enfield for many years before relocating to Fairfield to be closer to her family. Prior to retiring Helen was employed with the Bank of New England, which was the former Connecticut Bank & Trust for many years. Helen was a member of St. Adalbert Church, Enfield, and a member of Grassmere C. C. and played on the Ladies League. In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, cooking and traveling with her family. Helen was a very devoted and dedicated wife and caregiver for Francis for several years, and loving mother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Helen is survived by her beloved son Robert Dubiel and his wife Barbara of Wilton, CT and loving daughter Ann Dubiel of Scarsdale, NY, a sister Wanda Granger of Plainfield, CT, along with her niece Darlene Hall and nephew John Granger and their families.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family on Thursday Dec. 17, 2015 from 11:00 am to 12:30 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. in St. Adalbert Church 90 Alden Ave. Enfield. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Enfield.
