Helen (Dumas) Derosier

Helen L. (Dumas) Derosier, of Enfield, entered peacefully into eternal life at the age of 83, on Thursday (October 4, 2012) in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Gerard “Jerry” E. Derosier and daughter of the late Dauphus and Mary Ellen (Devoney) Dumas. Helen was born on June 27, 1929 in Peabody, MA and had resided in Enfield for the past 44 years. Prior to retiring she was employed by Bow Steel, Windsor for many years. A devout catholic Helen was a communicant of St. Martha Church, Enfield and was active with the Legion of Mary and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Martha’s. Helen is survived by her two children; Jay Derosier & his wife Debra of Windsor Locks and Mary Ellen Buckley & her husband Chris of S. Paris, ME, her nine grandchildren; Joshua, Adam, Matthew, Ashley, Jacob, Jamie, Mariah, Crystal and Ally and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings; Dotty Brown, John Dumas, Mary Gordon and Gracie Dumas. Family and friends will gather during calling hours on Monday (October 8, 2012) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (October 9, 2012) with the procession forming at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home to St. Martha Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Martha Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield, CT 06082.
