Henry R. Bissonnette, affectionately known to family and friends as KiKi, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Rest on Friday Nov. 24, 2017. After, a four year long friendship, he married his beloved wife Eloise “Ellie” Button Bissonnette on May 5, 1951 and were married for 53 years until her passing on Feb. 13, 2005. Henry was born on Sept. 1, 1930 in Springfield, MA to the late Henry and Fabiola (Vaillancourt) Bissonnette, and resided in Enfield most of his life. Henry served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a self-employed contractor for over 40 years and owned & operated North East Atlantic Inc. He was also co-owner & operator of Button’s Flower Shop with his wife Ellie in Enfield. He had a passion for animals, especially his dog “Hoshi”, & flowers. In his leisure time he also enjoyed traveling to horse shows. Henry is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law; Julie and Andrew Paul of Enfield and Lynn and Robert O’Connell of Somers, his six grandchildren; Alix Marnie O’Connell, Jodi DeMonte, Vincent Paul, Wendy Paul, Holly Paul, Joseph Paul, great-grandchildren; Alyssa DeMonte, Giovanni DeMonte, Alyssa DeMonte and Kyliann Rose Coney. He is also survived by a brother; Wilfred “Paul” Allard, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was also predeceased by two brothers; Raymond Henry Bissonnette and Robert Edward Bissonnette. He also has a sister Claire Ruczinski. His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday Nov. 26, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday Nov. 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd. Enfield, (Please meet at church). Interment will follow with Military Honors in the Enfield Street Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
