Henry Maskowski

Henry J. Maskowski, 85, beloved husband of 60 years to Frances (Maggio) Maskowski, passed away on Tues. Dec. 11, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. He was born on March 16, 1922, son of the late Alexander and Catherine Maskowski and had resided in Enfield for the past 44 years and in Agawam, MA before that. Henry was a graduate of Suffield Academy. He served his country honorably with the U.S. Navy during WW II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre. Prior to his retirement in 1993 he was employed by Major Muffler in sales for many years. In his leisure time Henry enjoyed playing golf and watching baseball of which he was an avid Red Sox fan. Besides his wife, Henry is survived by his loving family; a daughter, Ellyn Boyer and her husband, Roger of Niantic, a daughter, Susan Chase and her husband, Larry of Enfield, a son, David Maskowski and his wife, Annie of E. Longmeadow, MA and a daughter, Carol Aldridge and her husband, Joseph of Agawam, MA, his six beloved grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Gertrude Korona of Enfield and two nephews. Henry was predeceased by a brother, Edward Maskowski. <br>A funeral procession will form on Saturday Dec. 15, 2007 at 9:00 am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield to St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery for interment with military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Assoc. of CT 43 Ash St. E. Hartford, CT 06108-3272.
