Hildegard (Estermaier) Waller, 84, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday (October 31, 2012) at the Suffield House. Hildegard was the beloved wife of 65 years to Asa L. Waller and daughter of the late Josef and Berta (Edelmann) Estermaier. She was born on August 20, 1928 in Traunstein, Germany and had resided in Enfield for the past 60 years. A devoted and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Hildegard’s life revolved around caring for her family and home. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, the beach, music and having been a talented singer many local churches had requested her to sing “Silent Night” on Christmas Eve in German, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially during the holidays and special occasions. Besides her loving husband Asa, she is also survived by her two loving daughters and sons-in-law; Evelyn & Tom Thompson of Enfield and Hildegard & Robert Perry of Longmeadow, MA her four beloved grandchildren; Erin Lipski & husband John, Trevor Thompson & wife Heather, Derek Perry and Colleen Perry, her great grandchildren; Hannah and Ty Thompson, Nick Thompson and Evan Lipski, her sister; Bertl Heinze, her brother; Josef Estermaier along with several nieces and nephews. Hildegard was predeceased by a son John Waller in 1999. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Saturday (November 3, 2012) from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service with the Rev. Steven Thayer officiating.
