James Beebe, Jr.

James W. Beebe, Jr., 73, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Monday Feb. 13, 2017 in the comfort of his home. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Deborah Ann (DiLeo) Beebe. James was born on April 24, 1943 in Hartford, CT to the late James W. Sr. and Evangeline (Morin) Beebe. He had resided in Enfield for the past 47 years and in Windsor Locks before that, he was a graduate of Windsor Locks H. S. Class of 1961, then furthered his education receiving his Master’s Degree in Education. James enlisted into the US Air Force and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He worked as a therapist at Blue Ridge Treatment Center, and then managed Stone Haven Institute, in Portland, CT for eight years and retired at age 70. Besides his wife, Deborah, James is survived by his three children: James W. Beebe, III (Beth), Sarah Beebe (Sonja) and Lisa Beebe all of Enfield, his adored grandson; Jettano Beebe of Enfield, his sister; Deborah Bogoslofski of Windsor Locks and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with his parents he was predeceased by his son; Matthew J. Beebe (2015) and his brother; Timothy Beebe. Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Friday Feb. 17, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. The funeral will take place on Saturday Feb. 18, 2017 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Enfield (please meet at church) followed by military honors. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
