Janice Lapins

Janice Marie (Drake) Lapins, 56, of Feeding Hills, MA died peacefully surrounded by family and friends who were inspired by her unwavering optimism and love of life. Janice was born December 29, 1951 in Mars Hill, Maine. She was the daughter of Elwin and the late Marie (Raymond) Drake and resided in Feeding Hills for the past 25 years. Jan had been employed with Windsor Rehab for fifteen years and then at Country Estates of Agawam for 5 years. A loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt, Jan is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years Gerald Lapins, her children; Benjamin, Emily, Jonathan and Matt all of Feeding Hills, her brothers and sisters; Jerry Drake of Enfield, Mike Drake and his wife, Carmen of Westbrook, Judy Dupuis and her husband, Phil of W. Suffield, Joyce Frangiamore and her husband, Joe of Enfield, Jeff Drake and his wife Denise of W. Suffield and Mary Lynn Nolan and her husband, Tim of Portland along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral services in celebration of Jan's life will be held on Monday November 3, 2008 with the funeral procession forming at 10:45 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield to St. Theresa's Church 66 Bridge St. Agawam for a 12:00 (noon) Mass of Christian Burial. Jan's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday Nov. 2, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels. Interment will be at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Jan's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society Memorial Donations 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701 or the Baystate VNA and Hospice 50 Maple St. P.O. Box 9058 Springfield, MA 01102-9055
