Jean R. Michaud (Pepere), of Enfield, CT beloved husband of Greta (Thibodeau) Michaud for 46 years, passed away after a long battle with cancer on November 3, 2008 at the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Jean was born in Daigle, Maine November 20, 1934 to the late Joseph and Yvonne (Daigle) Michaud. He resided in Enfield for the last 42 years and was a long time communicant of Saint Patrick's Church as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jean was employed by American Airlines for twenty-five years and a member of the National Ski Patrol at Mount Tom for 29 years. He was an avid skier and biker. Jean had some amazing friends! He enjoyed skiing and traveling with his "ski buddies" and eating with the "breakfast club" from American Airlines.
Left to mourn his passing besides his wife are his loving children, Marc Michaud of Enfield, CT, and Louise, Jean Bailey and her husband Scott, of Somers, CT and Patricia Ellis and her husband Bill of Somers, CT; His grandchildren, Jessica and Joseph Bailey, Vincent and Samuel Michaud and Maggie, Jacob and Abigail Ellis; His siblings, Joan Jordan and husband Ralph of Enfield, Philip Michaud of Enfield, Rita Michaud and her husband Ted Wecker of New Lenox, IL; his sister-in-law Diana Michaud of Portage Lake Maine; his brother-in-law William Malloy of Farmingdale, ME; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several siblings, Jean Gilbert, Marc, and Louis Michaud and Candide Duperry, Mauberte Thivierge, and Bibiana Malloy. Funeral services in celebration of Jean's life will be held on Saturday November 8, 2008 with the funeral procession forming at 9 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield to St. Patrick's Church for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Jean's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday Nov. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels.
