Jeane E. (Manning) Rumore, 77, of Enfield entered into eternal peace, Monday July 10, 2006. Born July 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Q. Manning and Myrtle Ashton Manning and resided in Enfield most of her life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph P. Rumore in 1984. Jeane had been employed at Hamilton Standard and then the J.C. Penney, of Enfield where she worked in the accounting department for 10 years. From 1969 to 1977 Jeane was active as a volunteer at Mark Twain and JFK Junior High. She was Chairwoman of the Parental Involvement Committee, a member of SLICE (School Library Improvement Committee of Enfield), a volunteer for the blind, a lifetime Mark Twain School PTA member, involved with the Citizens Advisory Council, a member of Holy Family Church and Holy Family Women's Guild, and Hazardville Little League. Community participation and family were the mainstays of Jeane's life. Jeane is survived by her three children: Peter Rumore and his wife Theresa of Belvidere, NJ, Paul Rumore of Enfield, Maria Rumore of E. Windsor and three grandchildren; Justin Rumore of NJ, Jessica Rumore of CA and Hannah Martin of Springfield, MA. She also leaves her sisters and brother; Barbara Gates, Jackie Crate, and Beverly Gentile all of Ludlow, MA, Geraldine Garrow of Wilbraham, MA, Ronald Crate of West Springfield, MA and many nieces and nephews. Jeane's family will receive relatives and friends Thursday (July 13, 2006) from 2-8 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd Enfield, exit 48 off of rt. 91. Funeral services will be Friday 9:00 am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family church.
