Jeannine Sylvester Obituary

Jeannine A. (Coulombe) Sylvester, 79, of Enfield entered into eternal life with her loving family at her side on Saturday (December 18, 2010). She was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late Frederick H. Sylvester (10/11/09) and daughter of the late Philippe and Dora (Ledoux) Coulombe. She was born on June 12, 1931 in Sutton, Quebec, Canada and had resided in Enfield for the past 48 years. Jeannine was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother having devoted her life to caring for her family and home. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing bingo, bowling and watching movies but her greatest pleasure was spending time with family and friends and was a member of St. Martha’s Church. Jeannine is survived by her three loving sons and their wives; Allen and Rosanne Sylvester, Richard and Carolann Sylvester, Dennis and Pamela Sylvester all of Enfield, her nine beloved grandchildren; Jennifer Aiken (Russell), Kathleen Peterson (Eric), Richard K Sylvester, Jr. (Elizabeth), Matthew Sylvester (April), Tara Sylvester, Marilyn Deni (Edward) Brenda Tenerowicz, Michael Tenerowicz and Christopher Tenerowicz, her great grandchildren; Nicholas Sylvester, Evan Sylvester, Rielly Aiken, Braidyn Sylvester, Katlyn Deni, Lauren Deni and A J “Peanut” Sylvester. She is also survived by her brother; Bruno Coulombe of Quebec, Canada along with many, many nieces, nephews and cousin both in the US and Canada, her brother-in-law Robert Sylvester and his wife Edie of E. Hartford, and her dear friend and a angel Helene Halligan of Enfield. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her daughter Lynda J. Sylvester (6/20/08) and a brother Gerard Coulombe. Relative and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Tuesday (Dec. 21,) from 4 to 8 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Dec. 22, ) with the procession forming at 9 am from the funeral home to St. Martha’s Church for a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial followed by interment in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 538 Preston Avenue, P.O. Box 1004 Meriden, CT 06450-1004 .
