Jeffrey Ramsdell

Jeffrey A. “Chic” Ramsdell, of Stafford Springs, passed from this earthly journey on Tuesday (September 13, 2011) at Johnson Memorial Medical Center, Stafford Springs. He was born on February 23, 1961 in Rockville, CT a son of Julie (Gaines) and the late Alan E. Ramsdell. Jeffrey graduated from Rockville High School. He was employed for over 30 years with Hamilton Standard/ Sundstrand, Windsor Locks. Jeff was really looking forward to a new beginning of life from Matt & Angelina, he loved coaching his boys in soccer & basketball, vacationing in RI and at the Cape with his family, he had a passion for “Ice Cream” always over indulged and was an avid Patriots, UCONN Huskies Men’s & Women’s Basketball and Red Sox’s fan. Jeff’s favorite saying was “Geen on it”, (Zach’s soccer team). Besides his mother, Jeff is survived by his two sons; Chris and Zach Ramsdell of Enfield, his loving companion Jeanie Orefice, his siblings Lynn Ramsdell of FL, Andrew Ramsdell & his wife Annette of Enfield and Laura Dailey and her husband Rob of MD, his nieces and nephews Dan, Nate, David, Taryn, MacKenzie, Owen and Michaela, his stepmother Diana Ramsdell, several aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends. Along with his father he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Raymond & Natalie Ramsdell and an uncle, Gary Ramsdell. Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Sunday (September 18, 2011) from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service with Rev. Barry Cass officiating at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of his family in Somers Center Cemetery, Somers, CT. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
