Joan M. Bardes, 80, of Suffield and formerly of Enfield entered into eternal life on Sunday May 4, 2008 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs. Joan was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late John E. Bardes and daughter of the late William J. and Margaret (Kelly) Quinn she was born on May 13, 1927 in New York, NY. Joan was a longtime resident of Elmont, NY, 13 year resident of Enfield and recently resided in Suffield at Suffield by the River for the past 5 years. Joan's life revolved around raising her family she especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. She was a former member of the Enfield Women's Club and St. Martha's Church. Joan was the beloved mother of; John Bardes and his wife, Mary Ann of Boca Raton, FL, Elizabeth Vomero and her husband, Dr. John Vomero of Ludlow, MA, Margaret Rochford and her husband, James of Guilford, CT, and Joan Pisciotta and her husband, Vincent of Massapequa, NY, loving grandmother to Sean (Jennifer) Bardes, Patrick Bardes, Kathryn and Peter Vomero, David, Megan and Quinn Rochford and Michael, Kevin, Stephanie & Kelly Pisciotta, She is also survived by a brother, William J. Quinn and his wife, Nancy of Wilmington, NC, a brother-in-law, Monsignor George Bardes of Riverdale, NY and several nephews. The funeral procession will form on Wednesday May 7, 2008 at 10:00 from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield to St. Joseph's Chapel/Little Sister of the Poor for a 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Joan's life. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Joan's family will receive relatives and friends TODAY (May 6, 2008) from 4:00 to 8:00 at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels. Memorial donations in her memory maybe made to the Little Sister's of the Poor 1365 Enfield Street Enfield, CT 06082.
