Joan DiNino Obituary

Joan M. (Cunha) DiNino, of Enfield, entered into her eternal life at the age of 73 on Monday February 1, 2010 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Joan was the beloved wife of Larry G. DiNino and daughter of the late Jesse A. and Margaret (Erickson) Cunha and had resided in Enfield for since 1973 and in Saugus & Wakefield, MA before that. She was a graduate of Wakefield H.S.
In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, gardening, walking, making quilts for hospitals, birthing hats for babies and all kinds of crafts. She was a member of the Emblem Club 380, Enfield Senior Center, St. Martha's Church and AARP Chapter 1209.
Along with her husband, Joan is survived by a daughter, Joy McInnis & her husband, Michael of Bartlett, TN, a son Larry DiNino, Jr. & his wife, Evelyn of Norfolk, VA, a son, Stephen DiNino & his wife, Glenda of Allen, TX and a daughter, Pamela Shults & her husband, Ted of Mesa, AZ, her four beloved grandchildren, Rocco Weiss, Larry DiNino, III, Anthony DiNino and Natalia DiNino. She also is survived by two sisters, Marjorie Knight and Carolyn Rourke, two brothers, Lawrence and Richard Cunha, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joan was predeceased by two brothers, Jess and James Cunha. Relatives and friends may gather with Joan's family on Thursday February 4, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Friday February 5, 2010 with the funeral procession forming at 10:30 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels to St. Martha's Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield for a 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at the convenience of her family in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA.
