John Davidson

John C. Davidson, 73, of Enfield entered into Eternal Life on Sunday Sept. 11, 2005 at Blair Manor Healthcare Enfield. John was the beloved husband of 45 years to the late Beverly A. (Beach) Davidson who passed in Jan. 2004. He was born on April 27, 1932 in Peabody, MA the son of the late Guy and Margaret (Maney) Davidson, he had resided in Enfield for the past 34 years and in Cape Cod, MA prior to that. John served his country proud and honorably for 20 years with the US Air Force during the Korean & Vietnam Wars, having obtained the rank of Master Sergeant. Prior to his retirement in 1990 John was employed for 20 years with Combustion Engineering in Windsor. In his leisure time John enjoyed attending air shows, collecting antique car & truck models and mostly time spent with his loving grandchildren.<br>John is survived by a son, Joel A. Davidson and a daughter, Susan N. Davidson both of Enfield, his two beloved grandchildren, Caitlin and Nathan Davidson, which were the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary Conrad & husband, Walter of Marblehead, MA, Guy Davidson & wife, Ann of Houston, TX, Paul Davidson & wife, Joan of Waltham, MA, Joe Davidson & wife, Terri of Avon Park, FL, Pricilla Giardino & husband, Nick of Franklin, MA, Jean Wentworth of Danvers, MA, Frank Davidson & wife, Midge of Danvers, MA and many nieces and nephews. <br>John's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Sept. 14, 2005 from 4 to 8pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Funeral services will be held on Thursday Sept. 15 at 9 am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Family Church 23 Simon Rd. Enfield. Interment with military honors will take place in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery Enfield. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 538 Preston Ave. P.O. Box 1004 Meriden, CT 06450-1004.<br>
