Joseph "Joe" Liucci Obituary

Joseph “Joe” J. Liucci, of Enfield, entered peacefully into eternal life, at the age of 90, on Tuesday (November 25, 2014) with his loving family at his side at Parkway/Kindred Healthcare in Enfield. Joe was the beloved husband of 67 years to Pauline (Sacheli) Liucci. He was born on March 19, 1924 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield son of the late Thomas and Marie (Jacabella) Liucci and was a lifelong resident of Enfield. He served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during WW II. He spent his entire working career as a Lithographer with National Print & General Offset Printing Co. Joe was a devout catholic & lifetime member and an usher at St. Patrick Church in Enfield and was also an honorary lifetime third degree member of the Enfield Knights of Columbus Washington Irving Council 50. An avid NY Yankee’s fan, he was grateful to make it to Yankee Stadium for the game when his beloved Yankee’s beat the Red Sox in 2011. Joe’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his loving wife Pauline, he is survived by his children; AnnMarie Lee & husband David of Clinton, Donna Chaisson of Enfield, Joseph T. Liucci & wife Robin of Suffield and Thomas D. Liucci & wife Linda of Enfield, his beloved grandchildren; Kerri-Ann, Heather, Brian, Jennifer, Kristen, Alexa and Nicholas, his cherished great-grandchildren; Madelyn, Peter, Ava, Nicholas, Jack, Jocelyn and Ethan. He is also survived by a sister Celia Saracco of Enfield, along with many nieces and nephews. Joe was also predeceased by two brothers; James and Anthony Liucci. The Liucci family would especially like to thank the staff at Parkway Pavilion/Kindred Healthcare for the kind and compassionate care Joe received while there. Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Friday (Nov. 28, 2014) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will take place on Saturday (Nov. 29,) with the funeral procession forming at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home to St. Patrick Church, Enfield for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment with military honors in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to St. Patrick Church, 64 Pearl St. Enfield, CT 06082.
