Obituary
Joseph “Joe” S. Kozaczka, 89, of Springfield, MA entered into eternal life on Monday (May 6, 2013) at Mercy Medical Ctr. Springfield, MA. Joe was born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield on Oct. 19, 1923 to Stanley and Anna (Kulka) Kozaczka. He attended Enfield Public Schools, and served in the US Coast Guard during WWII. He was employed by Bigelow-Sanford Carpets, the Town of Enfield in the highway department, and later as an Enfield Police Officer. Along with his beloved wife Nellie, he operated the Kozy Korner Restaurant in Thompsonville for many years. He later worked for Crouse-Hines in Windsor. Besides his wife Nellie (Klebosky) Kozaczka of Springfield, he is survived by his sons Thomas and David and his wife Sharon of Suffield, his sister Ann Klotz of East Hartford, grandchildren Amy Chiaravallo of NYC, Dyan and Zachary Kozaczka of Suffield, Jeremy Kozaczka of Enfield, Brian and Matthew Kozaczka of Manchester and his great-grandsons Nathaniel and Landon. He was predeceased by his dear daughter Jo-Ann Chiaravallo, as well as his brothers John, Raymond, Stanley, Teddy, Eddie, Frank and Louis. A Funeral Service will be held for Joe on Friday (May 10, 2013) 11:00 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Burial will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Enfield, CT. Relatives and friends may gather with his family prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society CT Chapter 659 Tower Ave., 1st Floor, Hartford, CT 06112
