Josephine Coughlin

Josephine (DiGregorio) Coughlin, 87 of Enfield, entered into eternal life to be reunited with her beloved husband and parents, on March 9, 2013 at Redstone Rehab and Nursing Center, East Longmeadow, MA. She was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Martin L. Coughlin who passed on March 19, 1999. Josephine was born on June 26, 1925 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield and was a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Marchese) DiGregorio. Prior to her retirement in 1988, Jo was employed at Olympia Sales for 10 years, Kaman Aerospace for 15 years, Pratt & Whitney, and prior to that at Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co. for 15 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Auxiliary, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society, St. Patrick Altar Society and a communicant and active member serving on many committees at St Patrick Church, Enfield. She was also a member of the National and Local AARP Chapters 1209 and 3062. She loved traveling locally and abroad with her beloved husband Marty. She enjoyed crocheting and time spent with family and friends who will miss her dearly. Jo is survived by her brother Anthony DiGregorio of Enfield and nieces and nephews; Carole Martin and her husband Dale Jr., Donna Jean DiGregorio, Joseph DiGregorio and his wife Diane, Michael DiGregorio and his wife Aracelli, Bonnie Sproha and her husband John, and Ann Coro and her husband Howard G. Jr. She also leaves behind several great nieces and nephews of which she loved very much. A Mass of Christian Burial for Josephine will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 10:00AM in St Patrick Church, Enfield. Family and friends may gather for visitation Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Patrick King St. Cemetery. Memorial donation in her memory may be made to St Patrick Church, 64 Pearl Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
