Josephine ”Josie” E. Johnson, of Enfield, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday (September 19, 2013) at Parkway Pavilion Healthcare. She was born on November 10, 1938 in Stafford Springs, CT the daughter of the late John E. and Marjorie Johnson and was a lifelong resident in the north central CT area. Prior to retiring in 1995 Josie had been employed by UTC-Hamilton Sundstrand , Windsor Locks, Laponite’s Electronics, Rockville, CT and Tyco, Stafford Springs, CT. She enjoyed working with electronics and was an artist. Josie had been a member of the Somers, Staffordville & Windsor Locks Congregational Churches. Josephine is survived by her sister; Sarah Garrow, of Enfield, her beloved nieces and nephew; Deborah Garrow and companion John Mays of Stafford, Beth Garrow and Christopher Garrow both of Enfield, her grandnephew and grandnieces; Jake Garrow of Stafford, Rose Garrow and Emily Garrow both of Enfield, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friend may gather during calling hours on Monday (September 23, 2013) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial & Remembrance service at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shake Rd. Enfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the West Cemetery in Somers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. 2080 Silas Deane Highway 2nd floor, Rock Hill, CT 06067, American Heart/Stroke Assoc.
