Kathleen Alaimo

Kathleen (Fenton) Alaimo, 88, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Rest with her loving family at her side on Tuesday August 2, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Ctr., Hartford. Kathleen was the beloved wife of Benjamin Alaimo. She was born on Oct. 24, 1927 in Springfield, MA the daughter of the late John and Mary Fenton. She had resided in Enfield for the past 38 years and in Suffield for 21 years. A loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother she focused her life on caring for her family and home. Besides her husband Ben of 65 years, she is also survived by her loving children; Robert Alaimo & wife Cheryl of Enfield, Mark Alaimo & wife Brenda of Blue Ridge, GA, Paul Alaimo & wife Betsy of Squires, MO, Gerald Alaimo & wife Jerrilynn of Suffield and Ellen Lebeau of Toms River, NJ, her fifteen grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, along with two sisters Peggy and Madeline both of MA, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters Mary, Eileen, Ann, Betty &Patsy, and a brother Jake. She was predeceased by her son Thomas Alaimo. Kathleen’s family will receive relatives and friends during calling hours on Sunday Aug. 7, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday Aug. 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Enfield (Meet at Church). Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
