Kendall Young Obituary

Kendall Alan Young, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on June 3, 2014 in the comfort of his home. Kendall was the beloved husband of 41 years to Carol (Whitmore) Young. He was born on Sept. 5, 1949 in Old Town, Maine, son of the late Arnold & Lorna (Ellingwood) Young and had resided in Enfield for the past 14 years. Kendall served his country honorably for 26 years with the U.S. Army and was in during the Vietnam and Gulf Wars. He retired in 2006 from Van Pak Trucking, Chicopee, MA after 15 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 101 in Somers. Besides his wife Carol, Kendall is also survived by his two daughters, Shari Riddick & husband Ben, and Stephanie Young, his two cherished grandchildren, Mariah and Isaiah Riddick all of Enfield. His siblings, Irving Young of Saratoga Springs, NY, Keith Young of AZ, Theron Young of Australia, Steven Young of Barre, VT, Troy Young, Misty Young, Wade Young and Wayne Young all of Maine, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (June 14, 2014) at the Cornerstone Church (Scout Hall) 28 Abbe Rd, East Windsor, CT with Rev. Greg Stokes officiating. Committal services were private at the convenience of his family in the Milford Cemetery, Milford, Maine.
