Leo D. Tardif, 66 of Enfield, beloved husband of Anne (Milikowski) Tardif entered into eternal life on Wed. March 8, 2006 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on Aug 4, 1939 in Lille, Maine son of the late Joseph and Bernice (Belanger) Tardif and had resided in Enfield since 1981. Leo served his country honorably with the US Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement Leo was employed by Travelers Insurance Co. for 32 years.
Leo's pride and joy was his 8 loving grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Anne, Leo is survived by his children, a daughter, Denise (Tardif) Gable & husband, Richard of Moodus, their children, Sophie & Charles, a daughter, Michelle Tardif of Newington, a daughter, Michelle (Beckett) Maznicki of NC, her children, John & Mary-Jaclyn, a daughter, the late Pamela (Beckett) Strimaitis, her children, Rachael & Nicholas of Enfield, a daughter, Sheryl (Beckett) Miller & husband, Kevin of NH, their children Jack & Eve. His siblings, sister, Muriel Lebel (Albert) of ME, sister, Viola Sirois of ME, brother, Rudolph Tardif (Vivian) of E. Hartford, brother, Roderick Tardif (Nicole) of E. Hartford, brother in law, Joseph LaRosa of Meriden, brother, Gene Tardif of ME, brother, William Tardif of Glastonbury, brother, Daniel Tardif (Verna) of E. Hartford, sister, Marie Bouchard (Fern) Middlefield, sister, Nancy Holabird (Dave) of ME and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his Mother-in-law, Anna David and husband John of Hartford, sister-in-law Rosemary Francolini of Enfield, brother-in-law Edward Milikowski of Enfield and brother-in-law Jack Milikowski (Lina) of Wethersfield. Leo was predeceased by a sister, Constance LaRosa, a brother-in-law, Reno Sirois, his brother-in-law, George Francoloni and sister-in-law, Ann Milikowski. Funeral services for Leo will be held Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 9 am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church. Internment with military honors will take place in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery. The Tardif family will receive relatives and friends Friday March 10, 2006 from 5 to 8 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations in Leo's memory be made to the Harry & Helen Gray Cancer Center Retreat Ave. Hartford, CT 06102.
