Leslie Spencer, Jr.

Leslie K. Spencer, Jr. 59, of Enfield passed from this earthly journey, peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday Oct. 1, 2016. He was the beloved husband of 34 years to Antoinette "Toni" (Bouthillier) Spencer. Leslie was born on May 21, 1957 in Stafford Springs, CT and was a lifelong resident of Enfield. He retired from Iron Mountain after several years of service. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, camping at Yogi Bear Campground (Sturbridge, MA) with special friends, trips to Coventry, VT and the White Mountains, enjoyed Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, but most of all he cherished time spent with his son Chris. Leslie was a great supporter of the Hartford County 4-H Fair Association. Besides his wife Toni, Leslie is also survived by his son: Christopher his mother Delia (Shaw) Cooley his father Leslie K. Spencer, Sr., a sister; Darlene Spencer, a brother; Roby Spencer & his wife Maria all of Enfield, along with many nieces nephews, his faithful companion "Hailey" and numerous dear friends. He was predeceased by his step-father Mervin Cooley, Sr. His family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Oct. 5, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. A Remembrance Service in celebration of Leslie's life will take place on Thursday Oct. 6, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Hartford County 4-H Fair Assoc.
