Lewis Dighello

Lewis A. Dighello, Sr. of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday (March 13, 2013) at Baystate Medical Ctr., Springfield, MA. He was born on April 1, 1925 in Springfield, MA, the son of the late Anthony and Anna V. (Segaline) Dighello, and had resided in Suffield and and Enfield for many years. Lewis served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during WW II. Prior to his retirement in 1986 Lewis had been a Custodian with Howard Johnson’s Windsor Locks and then with the Suffield School System. He was a member of the AMVETS Post #18, Enfield and former member of the Indian Motorcycle Racing Club he also had a passion for antique cars. Lewis is survived by his wife Margo (Carvo) Dighello, his son; Lewis Dighello, Jr. & his wife Nancy of Enfield and his daughter; Ann Balbi of Springfield, MA. He was predeceased by a sister; Evelyn Dighello. His family would like to thank the staff at Parkway Pavilion for the kind and compassionate care given to Lewis. A Graveside service will be held on Monday (March 18, 2013) at 11:30 a.m. in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Enfield Food Shelf P.O. Box 699, Enfield, CT 06083-0699 or charity of the donor’s choice.
