Lillian E. Motola, 81, of Enfield, entered into eternal life with her loving family at her side on Tuesday (April 10, 2012) at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Ctr. Lillian was the beloved wife of the late Orlando Motola and daughter of the late Samuel and Kathern (Zonmako) Ratushany. She was born on Dec. 2, 1930 in E. Hartford, CT and had resided in Enfield for the past 54 years. Before retiring many years ago she was employed by W.T. Grants and Woolco’s department stores, but most of her time was dedicated to caring for her family and home. In her younger days Lillian was an avid bowler, she also enjoyed playing bingo and trips to the casinos, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lillian is survived by her loving children; Rosanne Sylvester & husband Allen of Enfield, Cheryl Williams & husband Carl of Tacoma, WA, Kathleen Rabbitt of Sea Brook Island, SC, Veronica Waldren of East Springfield, MA, Cynthia Esslinger of Enfield, Kevin Motola of Jacksonville, FL and Keith Motola of Coventry, her 13 beloved grandchildren; Marilyn & Ed Deni, Brenda & Christopher Tenerowicz, Michael Tenerowicz and fiancée Jamie, Jennifer & Neil Williams, Bonnie & Chris Nutzman, Stacey & David Crone, Dale & Tracey Waldren, David Waldren, Jason & Shannon Esslinger, and Keith Motola, Jr. and seven great-grandchildren; Nicole, Katelyn, Lauren, Corrine, David, Jr. Jacob and Iverson, along with many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a son Gary Copas and her siblings. Per Lillian request there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Lillian’s life will take place on Thursday (April 12, 2012) at 11:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Enfield. Burial will be private in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery in Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to the CT Children’s Medical Center Foundation 282 Washington Street Hartford, CT 06106.
