Linda Marie (Menard) Mullen, of Somers, CT, passed from her earthly journey at the age of 56, on Wednesday March 18, 2015 peacefully in the comfort of her home. Linda was the beloved wife of 19 years to Dennis H. Mullen, Jr. She was born on Sept. 21, 1958 in Woburn, MA and she was a graduate of Enfield H.S. Class of ’76. She attended The Elms, Central, & Asnuntuck colleges and was a graduate of NETTS and Jolie Hair & Beauty Academy. She recently moved to Somers and had resided in Old Orchard Beach, ME, for the past 8 years and prior to that in Ware, MA. Linda was employed as a hairdresser, substitute teacher, truck and bus driver, there’s nothing she couldn’t do. She enjoyed hairdressing, shopping, rom coms, collecting sunglasses, suede purses & shoes; she matched everything - a true fashionista. She was the founding member of the BEA. Besides her husband Dennis, she is also survived by her loving children; Melody Linda Simpson & her husband Chris of Enfield, CT, Kal J.S. Otto & his fiancée Clara of Hartford, CT, and Ray Douglas Mullen of Old Orchard Beach, ME, her siblings; Paula Marks & her husband Joseph of St. Lawrence, PA, Denise Wilby & her husband Shawn of Enfield, CT and Pamela Russo & her husband Carl of Rocky Hill, CT, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Monday March 23, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Church (meet at church).
