Lois Perkins

Lois Jane Perkins, of East Windsor passed from her earthly life at the age of 77, on Sunday (March 18, 2012) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 2, 1935 in Hartford, CT the only daughter of eight children to the late Charles N. and Harriet D. (Rivers) Perkins and had resided in East Hartford for many years before taking residence in East Windsor in 2007. Lois retired from Stanadyne Corporation after 30years of service. In her leisure time Lois enjoyed traveling, trips to the casinos and especially spending time with her family. Lois is survived by her beloved brother Douglas J. Perkins, Sr. of Enfield and many dear nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her six brothers; Sunny, Howard, Robert, Charles, Burt and Norman Perkins, her longtime friend Patricia Green and her beloved dog “Dusty Rose”. Relatives and friends may gather during calling hours on Wednesday (March 21, 2012) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (March 22, 2012) at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dan McElheron officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
